Playing with a racquet that needs some basic repairs?
One of the few areas of the racquet that may require maintenance and is often overlooked are the grommets and handle. Bring it in, we can help you recondition your racquet handle and also guide you on how to replace your purchased grip for every custom stringing service.
Tennis grommet replacements are specific to the racquet manufacturer and will require to be ordered prior to restringing and do discuss this with our racquet technicians. Full racquet description will be required with grommet strips for most makes available. Badminton racquets are slightly different as most makes would only use the individual small tubes or u-shaped tubes placed into the string holes though some makes would also require grommet strips.
Whatever the racquet, these plastic tubes protect the strings from rubbing or wearing against the frame. But from time to time, grommets and grommet strips do wear out and thus needs to be replaced.
With your badminton restring, we would replace any worn-off grommet (less than 10 pieces) as a matter of course at no additional cost during inspection of the racquet before stringing. However, should you require more, we would be happy to discuss your requirements prior to stringing, as a small additional charge would apply.
